Minutes of the League Council Meeting held on Monday 21 August 2006 at The Bengeo Club

Clubs Present:AFC Cheshunt, Buntingford Cougars, Bury Rangers, Bury Rangers Reserves, Cuffley, Dane End United, Green Man, Hornets, Hornsmill Utd, Horns Mill Old Boys, New Riverside, Sun & Harrow, The Salisbury, Ware Saviours, Wareside.

Registrations - All Clubs must return the completed forms and photographs to Clive by 31 August 2006. The cards will be checked at the first game. If they are not present Clubs will lose points.
Division Reps - Any problems Clubs may have should be reported to Clive Brooks – Division 1 and Graham Martin – Division 2. If they are unable to deal with the problem they will bring up at the next available committee meeting.
Fixtures Secretary - There should be enough referees this season. As the fees have increased to 35.00 it is the referees responsibility to phone the result in. Only the County results should be phoned into the Committee.
Clubs should keep a note of their goal scorers for trophies at the end of the season.
Result cards should be completed in full and correctly – Fines will be issued.
The results will be reported on the website by Lee Button along with a list of the registered players and
Numbers.

The League Challenge Cup will be run over 2 leagues – 1 of 8 and 1 of 7.

Each Club will play each other once and the top 4 Clubs will go through to the quarter - finals. This will be drawn during the League Council Meeting in January 2007. The quarter and semi finals will be played on a two-leg basis. If the result is a draw after the 2nd leg penalties will be taken.

The accounts were handed out. It was pointed out that the Cup finals were costly and will be reviewed. It was suggested that Hertford or Cheshunt be considered as a venue – To be looked into.

The question was raised as to why the winners of Division 2 did not go up to Division 1. The Salisbury is a totally new Club with at least 15 new different players from the old Salisbury Arms side.
Buntingford were happy to go up instead as they have a different team.

Cup costs - Clubs were advised the cost of Cup games should be split 50/50. The linesman costs will be 17.50.
